Description

I'm a huge fan of Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd & Gray Mouser characters and loved the 1973 DC comics adaptation of Leiber's stories with artwork by Howard Chaykin and Crusty Bunkers (including Neal Adams) along with Bernie Wrightson and Mike Kaluta contributing inks.

This was only a 5 issue series but featured incredibly talented creators including those mentioned above plus Walt Simonson and Jim Starlin. Early work by amazing talents! I have searched actively for a page from the short-lived series for around 15 years and finally achieved my goal via Heritage in January 2024 :) This page is signed by Howard on the front and by Neal Adams on the back.

Looks cool with Neal most likely doing work on the faces and more complex bits of anatomy. It's in these titles that you get to see what kind of art inspired them to become artists in the first place as this has the throwback look to adventure strips of the past.
