Description

I've been avidly following Richard Howell's epic vampire soap opera Deadbeats for the last five years or so. Howell has been doing incredible work on the series. I was especially struck by a cover Howell drew (with Steve Leialoha inks) several years back for issue #53, which featured diabolical bat-god cultist / sultry lounge singer Contessa DiMiera. I've considered obtaining a Deadbeats-related sketch from Howell. And since that one cover always stood out in my mind, I asked Richard if he could draw the Contessa. Here's the result, a lovely portrait of the slinky songstress accompaniend by a trio of fellow bat-cult devotees. My thanks to Richard for a wonderful illustration.
