Description

Domino Drake needs permission from Captain Raader to return to space with the Swashbucklers. Raader is reluctant to defy Domino's parents, who want her to stay safely on Earth. Eventually everyone agrees that Domino can go, and that her new friend Dodge will stay behind on Earth, starting a B-plot that will extend through future issues. Note the "Tar Heels" jersey that Domino's mother wears, in keeping with the Carolina locale. These background-free panels at the tail end of the issue may evidence a looming deadline.

With that many characters in every panel, best not to clutter them with backgrounds. Besides, the colorst is given an opportunity to shine.
