DescriptionSo I first fell in love with this art before the pandemic. I saw this art in a box at Mark Hay's booth at SDCC. It was there at least 2 years in a row without selling. My guess is that this was because he never posted it online. So when it was finally posted for sale recently, I decided this was the signal.Back in the day, I was also unsure about bluelines, and having art on 2 pieces of paper - but as you can see I changed my mind. It's like having your cake and eating it too! One page is the inked blue lines by Paolo's dad Joe Rivera and the other features solid pencils by Paolo himself. Really happy to have finally added this action cover to my collection. Thanks for checking out my gallery. Social/Sharing |

Rihanna's umbrella song popped into my mind looking at this piece ;)
(Bluelines to me are-only-acceptable if they originate by the same artist drawing the full piece and/or if you get everything in one set-penciler/inker).

Awesome father and son team !! Joe's inks are faithful to Paolo's tight pencils. Having the penciller and inker as 2 separate people is definitely an American thing. It's great that you have both pieces.

great cover with these 2, Cap protecting Widow with his shield from gunfire like an umbrella protecting someone from rain. I own a few covers where the pencils and inks are on seperate boards and have had mixed feelings about it as well in the past but eventually I just got over it. I especially like with Paolo having his father be his inker on pieces like this it adds another layer of special quality to the story behind the art. Congrats on finally adding it eventually after it tempted you at shows!
