DescriptionVIEW AUCTION LISTING HERE!10-5/8x15.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Curt Swan (1920-1996), w/inks by Bob Oksner (1916-2007). Art is for story page 15 of Superman #298, published by DC Comics April 1976. Clark Kent, Get Out Of My Life! story saw the introduction of Solarman, a villain who utilized a solar-powered suit to battle Superman. Page features six panels, showing Superman confronting Solarman, who stands atop Superman statue. Their initial battle destroys the statue. Superman appears in every panel. Top margin has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers and publication month. Back has Superman pencil head sketch w/two smaller preliminary sketches as well as DC copyright stamp. Swan has signed last panel in black felt tip pen. Scattered handling wear/aging w/strip of tape staining at top/bottom center margin. Art remains clean and Exc. Social/Sharing |
