DescriptionNestor Redondo - Swamp Thing #11 Pg. 4 - July - Aug.1974. The very talented Nestor Redondo had the unenviable task of following the legendary Bernie Wrightson on this, the 11th issue of Swamp Thing! To his credit, the continuity is almost seamless and the casual reader back in 1974 might not have even noticed the change as the art is masterful and the book was still written by Len Wein and edited by Joe Orlando. Redondo was the perfect choice for the very difficult task of following a legend! While this page does not have Swamp Thing in it, there are beautiful panels featuring Matt and the gorgeous Abby in the swamp encountering a frightening mutated alligator monster! Just wonderful!Social/Sharing |

Really beautiful in its own right! Nestor Redondo's inks are very lush and continued the same vibe of the gothic romance horror tale.

A perfect title for Nestor Redondo to apply his fluid style to. Under his brush the swamp never looked more beautiful.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing this great pickup!

Wow! Stunning Swamp Thing page from Nestor Redondo! IMHO, Nestor did a fantastic job of following Bernie Wrightson's incredible run. The art still has that classic look that Bernie created and it is still beautifully laid out and superbly inked. Great pick-up, congrats!
