DescriptionA rare Romita Horror Cover from 1973. A frightening love scene for the story «Horror in the City». Even the finger ring doesn't survive... It's an unusual cover design for that Marvel series with 3 panels to show that scary drama.It suspects the cover pencils are by Rich Buckler from a Romita rough. As John signed it he probably did possibly some corrections. Romita redrew the creature – compare with the interior page. Social/Sharing |

Reminds me of a horror version of those romance comic triptych panels. Congrats on a beautiful cover!

Someone got catfished! It's a cover design that might have been used more for the non superhero titles to appeal to a wider more mature audience.

Wow! What a cool Vault of Evil cover by John Romita Sr. and Rich Buckler! Funny twist on a typical romance cover (Which Romita did a lot of) which then turns into the ultimate horror moment! Beautifully drawn and inked by the stellar Marvel team! Great pick-up, congrats!
