Description

I had not long got into comics, jumping directly across from X-Men: The Animated Series, when this limited series was released. I was already a big fan of Bishop in the cartoon, so picking up the comic was a no brainer. My impressionable young self was not prepared for what was to come. Carlos Pacheco�s grand scenes of explosive action, body snatching horror and all engrossing character moments over the four issues, blew me away. All this combined with John Ostrander�s superb character driven plot and scriptings.

So, I am very happy to add the last page of the series to my collection. Bishop in a destroyed cityscape, within the Danger Room, standing triumphant over the book�s villain, Mountjoy, who he refrained from killing, as Professor X and Beast look on from the control room.

I also love the final panel which closes out the story nicely, with a shot of Bishop looking back into the Danger Room as he exits, accompanied by Xavier�s words: �He is, heart and soul, one of us. And few have paid a greater price.� �then cue the lens flare on Bishop's X-buckle, followed by �FIN� at the bottom in block lettering...

A major rocket boost by Professor X in this final page of the mini series. Bishop was still considered a new player in the X-Men universe after four years and fans wanted and got more here!
