DescriptionPleased as punch to add another page from one of my favorite series. In addition to showcasing some great, dynamic action, we also get some of the nice straight-man deadpan dialogue between Michael and the computer.Michael's interactions with the computer and his inner monologue always acts as a great vehicle to remind us of his struggle to maintain and reaffirm his humanity despite the circumstances that he finds himself in. Bold lines make this one click. Love that 2nd panel in particular!

You KNOW I dig this! First book I think of when I think "Cowan". Gritty good top to bottom action, and the Collins-computer dialogue was one of my fave things about this book. Nice example here. Congrats, man!

You and your Oreo art brothers
The Denys collection you've housed with your covers
My Deathlok is threatened in Illustration
And the fights are much too Denys
Ink line Mike Manley action
My segment time is with Bill and Zevia brains
But I still love to trash talk your old computer
Think it’s sick that I could've got Eganga
I can't help it, for my rep Jason
Want it and adores the attractive Cowans
Bountiful selection at your collection
I know I'm driving into the pond and ocean
So why do we choose the arts that are naughty
I don't fit in, portfolio carry
And I know I can't tame you, but I just keep trying

I was rooting for Sanjaya! Fyi, this was the first time I had ever heard the term "fauxhawk"!

"Hostile's primary weapon neutralized."...I think they make a pill for that.

I tell ya, I become more of a Mike Manley fan day by day. Love the inks on this one. And Cowan's style is perfect for this title. Congrats!

Even after all the decades that have passed, this art still packs the same amount of inergy they did when the book first came out. Which reminds us why great art will always remain great art!

Wow! Awesome Deathlok page by Denys Cowen and Mike Manley! Love this striking battle page. Denys was always terrific portraying action sequences and he does that here as well. Love the dialog between Michael and his computer--It adds another dimension to the action. Michael's comeback, "So I lied," brought a smile to my face. Phenomenal inks by Mike Manley. He really makes the action come to life. His use of spot blacks is right on! Fantastic page from a fantastic book! Great pick-up, congrats!
