DescriptionSome beautiful lines by Dodson and Ryan, and a cool page leading directly into Legion Quest. The story where Legion intending to save his father Charles Xavier’s dream, ends up accidentally killing him instead, setting off the Age of Apocalypse timeline. Here, Legion is in Israel’s Negev desert looking to the skies, when he is met by Destiny who emerges from the sand, surrounded by crystal versions of the X-Men. She leaves him with the words: “…go forth and fulfill -- your Destiny”. This was the first X-Men comic I picked up as a kid the week it was released. So, very happy to own a couple of pages from this issue. I wish I still had my original copy, it had character, it was all beat up from being read multiple times, and had the ugly remnants of a pricing sticker in one corner which I had tried (not so) carefully to remove. I’m pretty sure I swapped out that particular copy years later, along with several duplicate copies of New Mutants #98… for other $1 issues at the comic store I used to work at. Terry has worked with different inkers with varying styles in his early years, prior to locking in the talents of his wife Rachel. I think Matt Ryan here, like Rachel really compliments Dodson’s pencils, doing him justice with his clean, smooth inks. Social/Sharing |

You find all these 90s panel page treasures!
Always searching! I think I’m more motivated by the nostalgia of storytelling panel page vs the added cost of a flashy splash, haha

Wild! Legion is such a tough character to crack because you'd have to really get into his mindset to draw visions that he sees.
