José Luis Salinas (Buenos Aires 1908-1985). Historietista e ilustrador argentino, padre del también dibujante Alberto Salinas. De su primera etapa en Columba y Patoruzu destaca su serie humorística Ellos y sobretodo la realista Hernan el Corsario. Desde 1949 se dedica para King Features Syndicate a dibujar la serie Cisco Kid. A partir de los 70´s destacan sus portadas e ilustraciones, especialmente de animales y militares. Autor de gran reconocimiento internacional, recibió en 1976 el Yellow Kid.

Very nice how there's semi-circle frames on every other one serving as panel borders and letting the other images breathe with only one spot that's squeezed.
