DescriptionThis page belongs to The X-Men Claremont´s run collectionAlan Davis is one of the best British penciller of all time. Before his magnificent period in Excalibur, we were lucky to have him in only two issues of Uncanny X-Men with Claremont as writer, in addition to Annual 11. On this page, with Storm and Wolverine, alone, with the new group fleeing from the Marauders after the Mutant Massacre, one of the most emotional scenes of the series takes place. No matter what happens, no matter how broken Wolverine and Storm are, they will never lose trust in each other. Magnific. Publication date: March, 1987 Social/Sharing |

Congratulations on this exquisite page by Alan Davis for Uncanny X-Men, precisely the serie that launched him to stardom. Your mutants collection is already scary, and I'm sure you still have the best with pedigree in the chamber...TOP!!!

Uniquely crafted by Davis in his inimitable style. Nice inking by Dan Green here, and on a number of issues during this time period.

Beautiful page--both the gorgeous Davis/Neary artwork but also the classic Claremont characterization. Perfect encapsulation of Logan and Ororo's bond. Jealous congrats!

Memorable Uncanny X-men page by Alan Davis. I love this page with Wolverine sitting all by himself, watching the X-Men's Blackbird fly oiff. He's withdrawn from his friends because he almost killed Ororo and you can see the pain of that action on his face and in his body language. Ororo comes up to him and in a beautiful gesture of forgiveness and grace, she asks for him to return to their team. It's so beautifully written and so perfectluy drawn that the two are inseperable, which is how a great comic is written. The final gesture of Wolverine standing up and tossing his cigar away says it all. Fantastic page!

These were the best of days for X-Men fans : Claremont created memorable scenes after memorable scenes, even with quiet moments. This one is really one of the best of them. And Davis was the perfect artist for that scene. Huge congrats for this awesome piece of X-Men history !

Great top to bottom storytelling, and love that fifth panel with Logan's darkened eyes. Can see why you featured it on your main page! And who does not dig the Mohawk Storm look?! Congrats!
