I was so grateful to be able to pick this up directly from Mike Allred at OAX 2024. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with him and his lovely wife Laura. I was at OAX with my wife, who has no interest in comics but is supportive of my crazy hobby. The caption boxes on this specific page caught my eye because of the message Frank is writing to his girlfriend Joe. It's a reminder that we may be on adventures or working hard, but there's someone we love and who loves us back, waiting for us back home. Also, the gag between Frank and Mott is pretty funny. Thanks to Simon and Mike!

This is a beautiful page from that era as the last issue of the series! Probably one of his most impassioned works of his career as an indie artist seeing that Madman was what put him on the map.
