DescriptionSoooooo… this is so way off my todo list I’m even surprised I own it. But here’s the story.. I saw this available in an unusual place and pinged a couple of my Batman collecting friends about it but they passed… and I found myself just admiring it more and more each time I looked at it.. so finally I just bought it myself! Now what is it.. it’s what I believe the cool kids are now calling color blue lines. What that means is back in the 80s they had a fancy way to do colors on some of the more prestigious titles (think Dark Knight returns) where they had a painter do watercolors under a printout of the main artist line work. Well in this case Bernie Wrightons pencils and inks look exquisite on top of Bill Wray’s painting. Now obviously Wrightson didn’t touch these … but what a scene for a Batman book done by Wrightson. Batman tied up on a sewer on a mountain of bodies! Wray just crushed the mood and ambiance of this scene as the colors just complement everything about this piece.Ive already broken so many of my collecting rules.. the next one maybe that it has to go on my wall in a frame? Well I know I could be just an art collector
But too blue I guess it's just another tool
And you swear you like to give your self some color
Then don't hide behind a cult of silly rules

Beautiful set of painted pieces by Bill Wray! Wray did a great job painting this series. Congrats Jason!

Uh...toe dipped into the Gotham pool...
I hear you, though. Unreal colors and I'm sure that much better in person. I've thought about getting something similar myself and I've closer to it looking at this. Congrats, J!

Dude I now have this and a couple pages done similarly from the Mignola Dr doom Dr strange series.. these are OA 100 percent don't poo poo them .. get them before the prices explode!
