Description

I have only owned 1 page of art by Darwyn from the Witchblade comic. I sold that and was out bid last month when it showed up on Heritage. This sensual sketch was up for sale a month prior and I won an affordable Darwyn Cooke pencil and sketch. The picture doesn't show the extended arms and legs that are lightly penciled.

Not much needs to be said about Darwyn. The few times I met him at the NY cons, he was a gentleman and very friendly, and of course he was wearing a hat.

Darwyn Cooke - Nude Sketch Original Art (undated). A sensual and delicate pinup by comics great, Darwyn Cooke, who is remembered for his runs on Catwoman and New Frontier. Mixed media on paper with an image area of 16" x 8". There is light handling wear, soft creasing, and signed.

With just a few pencil strokes, you know it's Darwyn. Very distinct style and he knew what the audience responds to.

Darwyn Cooke truly had that talent with his line work. I like this piece because it isn't a technique he used when doing comic book illustration.
