DescriptionJoe Benitez (born May 21, 1971) is an American comic book artist. He is co-creator and penciller of Weapon Zero, published by Top Cow Productions. Other titles he has worked on include The Darkness, The Magdalena, as well as work for DC Comics.The Darkness is a comic book series by Garth Ennis, Marc Silvestri and David Whol and produced by Top Cow Productions. This series debuted in the United States of America in 1996. The story of Darkness revolves around the events of The Darkness and its holder Jackie Estacado, a former hit man for the New York Mafia family of Franchetti. Social/Sharing |

Cool early issue! Benitez did a lot of the heavy lifting in the series and had just as much impact on The darkness lore. The first panel is emblematic of his artistry.
