DescriptionOne of my all time fave GL covers. Staton really left his comfort zone with the complex composition, cramming the scene under Hal's armpit. But somehow it makes him appear all the more heroic! An extra tip of the hat to the detail work that both artists put on the piece. Staton didn't often illustrate with so many lines and Patterson pulled off some great space effects with white-out. Social/Sharing |

Get 'em, Hal!
Great addition, Dan. Got to agree, Staton is showing off a bit with this composition.

The framed side/arm window and back reflection make for one stunning layout. Staton pulled this off nicely!
