These seven character drawings served as style-guides for the heroes depicted in the popular Justice League animated series. They are the work of acclaimed artist Darwyn Cooke and feature very strong images of Wonder Woman, Superman, Hawkgirl, and Green Lantern John Stewart. With his work in DC: The New Frontier, Cooke is most closely associated with DC's classic stable of heroes and this lot includes a few of the most popular of the Modern era.

Note: This art has been executed on seven separate pieces of artboard. The Wonder Woman drawing has a bending at the upper left corner and some wear at the left corner, but this does not affect the art area of the piece.

About the Artists
Eisner Award-winning artist Darwyn Cooke was one of the talented comic book creators to ever work in the industry. He came to comic books late, having spent most of his career in animation. He first came to everyone's attention with his work on Batman: Ego and Catwoman. Cooke only did four issues of Catwoman, but his redesign of the character would become the new standard. His follow-up Catwoman graphic novel, Selina's Big Score is considered a classic of the medium. Cooke's next project was 2004's DC: The New Frontier, another major 21st Century classic. Cooke's art is difficult to find on the market as owners are reluctant to part with it. Cooke passed away in 2016 at the very young age of 53.
