Description

As crowdfunding rewards associated with the Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover story "Assimilation³," Woodward created several small paintings mixing up concepts from the two series. This one crosses the Borg with a Silurian, an ancient race of lizard-men living far beneath the Earth. They were one of the numerous 1970s-vintage alien monsters which was re-introduced in the more recent incarnation (as it were) of the series.

Two great franchises of the 60's that maintained their place of relevance as they spoke in matters of the human condition. Even in this cross of two alien species, they spoke of how mankind awakened their enemies.
