Beautiful. No one knew how to tell a compelling story any better than Milt Caniff.

Right during the heat of the war and the date marked victories in the Pacific theatre as Japan began retreat from Guadalcanal. Caniff's artwork brought drama and adventure to connect readers with the backdrop of the war.

Beautiful daily! Caniff was a genius, artistically and as a writer. I particularly love the inking the shirt in panel one. You can clearly see the influence on John Romita Sr. In this strip. Congratulations!
