DescriptionKevin Eastman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #50 Jack Kirby Variant Cover Original Art (IDW, 2014). A totally unique TMNT opportunity as co-creator Kevin Eastman pays tribute to the King of Comics, Jack Kirby! For the 50th issue of the IDW series, Eastman re-created a sketch Kirby rendered in the later years of his life of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael as a gift for Eastman and his partner, Peter Laird.Created in ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol board with an edge-to-edge image area of 11" x 17". Eastman has signed and dated the piece in the image area alongside a facsimile Kirby signature. In Excellent condition. Includes a preliminary sketch of the cover taped face down to the back of the board, alongside a printout of Kirby's original drawing. From the Kevin Eastman Archives. Social/Sharing |
