Description"Weapon X: Chapter 8"July 1991 Weapon X is probably one of the most relevant, monumental, and influential Wolverine story arcs ever written. It extolled BWS as a total author. That story is contained and condensed in 12 chapters of 8 pages each one, published in MCP (72-84) during 1991. It is presented as a kind of classic Greek tragedy play in acts. A sort of story about a Hero’s tragic fate chosen by Gods (scientists)… The Birth or Rebirth of a Killing Machine could be the shortest summary possible? It is so amazing to have and curate a small piece or gem of that treasure. Art is signed. “That is correct. Weapon X is out of my control…” The Professor Social/Sharing |

No one else was like him and no one else could emulate what BWS was doing. You may try, but there is so much more than technical skill at work in the page!

Uhh...whoa. I'm sitting here literally mouth agape, Toni. STUNNING page from a...semi-important run :) Really does have all you could want in a BWS or Wolverine example. Love how the latter's more shadowed in that middle panel. Too good, my friend. I'm sure you have and continue to pore over it lots! Huge congrats!

What a fantastic page from a fantastic book. I love this page from the story where the doctors can see Weapon X moving down the hallway. They know he's dangerous. They know he's coming for them. But they can't stop him. It's like a horror movie...Like Aliens. The drawing is stunning with tons of detail in the control room. Tons of wires and knobs and TV monitors but none of it will matter...I love the scenes of Weapon X on the TV monitors. He's coming and you can't stop him. Barry Windsor Smith was born to draw this comic.
