DescriptionUpdate: this piece has been sold.Spidey's never looked better in black in this commission by painter extraordinaire Colton Worley. I discovered Colton a few months ago and adored his oil paintings. To me, he's like a great mix between Joe Jusko and Gabriele Dell'Otto. And that's a hit in my book. In a collection with already quite some nice pieces, this one packs quite a punch. A truly brooding Spidey, looking out over New York. Ready to swing and dish out justice. I'm so happy Colton embraced oils, as this makes that shiny texture on the costume pop even more. This is an 11x17 sized oil painting on canvas. A nice detail is that Colton made a print of this commission, and it was received extremely well online! Cool! Social/Sharing |

Man, great pose choice, and love all the textures he renders with the black costume. KILLER piece. Congrats!

Thanks so much, Kahlill! Colton hit this one out of the park for sure! I can see why he made this into a print.

With the lighting Worley uses, it looks like the symbiote has bonded with the look of the building's edifice. Amazing work on the face as you can see by the nose and mouth where Spidey is staring towards.

That blend adds greatly to that feeling of menace! He had a vision and went for it.

Impressive
It's even crazier in real life. Just need to find a framer who can mount a canvas properly.
