Description

Warrior of Heaven, Avengelyne, does battle against the forces of Hell in this impressive 1995 cover art by comic art legend Arthur 'Art' Adams. This piece has the fine detail and character action for which Adams is well known, and with a huge horned devil dominating the background, this is a visually striking example of his 1990s work. Co-created by Rob Liefeld and Cathy Christian, Avengelyne was originally introduced in this 1995 series by Maximum Press. After stops at Awesome Studios and Avatar Press, Avengelyne found a home at Image with a series that ran from 2011 to 2012.

The artwork is signed by Art Adams in the lower middle image area.
