I have enjoyed Declan's Shalvey work as of late, both as a writer (great work on Thundercats) and as an artist, where he's done some amazing cover work... During Comic Art Live, there was a show with Declan Shalvey, and this Cable cover caught my eye. It shows Cable running towards the reader, gun in hand, with his glowing eye....At the same time, I really enjoyed the background, with the big door closing, and some of the fun details like the X on it (which sadly was covered by the corner box art on the published piece)... Simple, but fun cover!

This cover is immediately striking for its lack of a huge, burly, in-your-face Cable - instead we get some fantastic ambience and background design work. Love it!

I love Shalvey's dry brush and gray tones! But Alberto, Cap confided in me and told me he thinks you're cheating on him with several other characters and believes you don't love him anymore.

Sadly, I have indeed been cheating on him... There's just not enough quality Cap art for sale out there to satisfy my addiction!!!
