Description

Continuing my quest for works by the "old masters" I am showing another Alex Raymond Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strip. This one is from 14 July 1940 and features Flash, Dale, and Zarkov collaborating with the Power Men to fight Ming!

The whole page flows but, to me, the highlight of the page is panel 4 with that beautiful shot of Dale who wss knocked out by the water cannon.

I also received the Jungle Jim topper for this date. It is in another post. Both strips were rendered in ink over graphite on two separate illustration boards. They have a combined image area of 21.5" x 27.5", and both strips are signed.

WOW! Congratulations Wally! That is a beauty! And I totally agree....panel four with Dale is the showstopper...the draping of her hair and gown are beautifully rendered
