Kevin Nowlan is always a high priority for me at conventions. At a recent show he had about 20 3"x5" sketches on the table, which turned out to be studies or preliminary layouts for larger commissions. I can't typically afford his full-size pre-made sketches but these were modestly priced so I bought several for friends. This one, however, is my favorite character from Americs's Best Comics - Jack B. Quick! Written by Alan Moore, Jack is a scientific genius who solves all sorts of bizarre Earth-shattering threats from his farm. I love this little guy and hope to see more of him in the future!

Very fun stories! It's like young Reed Richards or Young Sheldon! Maybe Nowlan based him on his own youth in Nebraska.
