Description

This 1972 House Ad ran in Pep #261 and Archie Giant Series #195. Featuring the main cast of Archie, Veronica, & Betty as well as a Christmas theme. As a fan of vintage advertising & comics, these House Ads are always appealing to me as a collector. Add to the fact this was done by the great Harry Lucey sealed the deal.

These are always fun to see when thinking about how many people actually cut out the coupons to do mail order in the short amount of time the ads ran. Lots of holiday cheer with wholesome good girl art!

Boy, advertising was a lot less subtle in those days, huh? Simple, charming, fun ad selling comics by mail-in coupons. Wow. Great pick-up, congrats!

I always enjoy seeing the original art for house ads! This one for Archie comics is terrific. Love Archie dressed as Santa and singing! The drawings of Betty and Veronica decorating the tree are pretty nice too! Amusing pick-up, congrats!
