I picked up a couple Mystery sketches at the spring Comic Art Live event. Both of the artists were from Splash Page Art. I can't remember if I gave 3 or 4 groups of characters this time. I believe Nico is the first to pick Judge Mortis (most pick Judge Death). I really like the shading on this one and think it turned out great.

That's an excellent take on Mortis. Love how skinny he is whilst still giving you the creeps.

Carried out by Di Mattia with scarecrow like limbs that turn and twist in unnatural ways. Fear inducing design made more real by the ink wash treated like paints.

Excellent, creepy take on Mortis. His skinny, bird-like frame with oversized claws convey a sinister menace. Ink wash used to very nice effect indeed.
