DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!11-5/8x14-7/8" artboard has pen and ink w/inkwash original art for The MAD Jock Book, published in 1983. Art is by MAD legend Jack Davis (1924-2016) and is two-page spread for "Shakespeare On Jocks" section of the book, showing two baseball-related panels on page 120 entitled "The Fly Ball" and single panel on page 121 showing Dallas Cowboys "Taking The Field" under the watchful gaze of their long-tenured head coach Tom Landry (HOF). Each strip has pasted title and word balloons that feature oddly apropos Shakespeare quotes. All pasted stats have evenly aged. Davis has signed at bottom of each page in black felt tip pen. Art remains clean and Exc. Great example of classic Jack Davis MAD original art. Social/Sharing |
