DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!13x19" artboard has pen and ink original art for the last page splash to Zot! #2, published by Eclipse Comics May 1984. Art is by Zot! creator Scott McCloud and features the first appearance of the character Dekko. Zot! was intended as a lighter alternative to the rise of darker, grittier comics of the 1980s, with McCloud serving up readers science fiction superhero stories. Of the 36 issues, the first 10 were published in color. Despite critical acclaim, the title was initially canceled after 10 issues due to low sales. At this point, the decision was made to relaunch the title in black and white, allowing the comic to run profitably from Jan. 1987 until July 1991. Top margin has some scattered ink editorial notes. Margins shows some scattered lt. aging/wear, but art remains clean and Exc. Gary and Dawn Guzzo Collection. Social/Sharing |
