DescriptionPossibly favorite Batman artist when I first came across his early work on the character in the late 1970s. I remember first seeing his work on a story featuring the villain The Calculator and being in awe of his art.Years later, in my early 20s I went to a small comic book convention held in a large conference room of a Holiday Inn. It was pouring down raining as I drove the fifty miles to convention wondering what the heck I was doing. I knew what I was doing. I was going to see one of my favorite artists of all time. I got there, almost broke and embarrassed at the state of my finances. I was one of only a few fans in attendance. The convention was a bust. Marshall noticed me hanging around his table and invited me to sit with him, so I did. He talked a lot, let me look through all his art. He was genuinely a great guy to spend a couple of hours with. A few years later when I started buying original art, Marshall's work was out of my price range. Even back then. However when this page popped up from a recent issue of one of my favorite series of the time, the price was right. It features a party in Wayne Manor hosted by Batman's parents, Martha & Thomas Wayne. It is distinctly Marshall Rogers and is magnificent. Social/Sharing |

Very clean art as always by Rogers! His art has always been popular amongst collectors as the hobby first grew during the late 70's and Rogers was the hot new artist.
