Description

Anyone that has read the current Transformers run will fully understand why DWJ walked away with two Eisner wins for his work on the series. It has been such a great take on the franchise that�s been around for 40 years.

This page features Optimus Prime and Cliffjumper arriving at the hospital to get the recently shot Spike some medical attention. It also features an Optimus transformation panel, which is a bonus. DWJ really nailed the final panel that showcases Optimus and Cliffjumper laying down supporting fire on Lazerbeak while Spike is rushed into the hospital on a gurney. My favorite thing about this page are the fluid and dynamic poses of both the Autobots and humans, so much information is conveyed in just the poses.

I am super happy to add this page to the collection and I can�t wait to see what DWJ does in the rest of his writing stint on Transformers.

DWJ brings the heart into the franchise that is at the core of what made the property successful at the very beginning. The Autobots are in big trouble at the get go and you are drawn to their underdog status when they have to fight off the Decepticons and protect the humans at the same time! One of the Easter eggs of this page is the name of the hospital that's from DWJ's hometown.
