DescriptionI picked this piece up at SDCC from Anthony. I love Zeck's run on Cap, and I think this page is awesome! The 2 panels at the top set the context, and then the 6 panels below retell the story of Sam Wilson in a way that only Zeck can!! This story showed Sam running for congress, and questioning whether he is the superhero we all know, or how much of his criminal "Snap" Wilson personality is still in him.Social/Sharing |

Those Beatty inks are fantastic! They really enhance the Zeck facial expressions on those brows and cheekbones! When they are in costume, those two panels look like they could be expanded into dramatic cover compositions. Also, lots of hip fashions for that time period that have a slick finish to them!

Love these backstory pages. You get a lot of art for your buck. And man, I'm diggin' that outfit in the fourth panel. Of course that second to last panel is just plain awesome. Congrats on a great SDCC add!

Who doesn't love a good flashback page? The Falcon AND the Red Skull, Cap's ultimate partner and nemesis, really make this page a winner!
