Description

After Kirby and Stone.

This has always been one of my favorite comic covers ever, and I decided I felt like taking a stab at it. I even decided to do all the lettering as paste-ups and the trade dress as a stat.

-The main illustration is pencils and ink (brush and dip pen).
-The piece is actually over twice-up, measuring 16.75" x 23.75".
-All the blurb lettering was done by hand with lettering nibs (a first for me), then trimmed and pasted onto the main artboard.
-The corner box image was drawn relatively large on a sheet of 9" x 12" bristol and then scanned and added to the trade dress.
