DescriptionDeadpool squaring off against Ajax (Francis Fanny), the main villain from the first Deadpool movie.You don't see too many early covers from the first Deadpool ongoing series and even fewer Deadpool pages of any kind by Walter for some reason. Does anyone know if he kept most of his art? Colorist Chris Sotomayor included a colored overlay, which has an interesting effect with the blurred-out tree photo as a background. Thanks to a fellow CAFer who gave me a second shot at this, after I missed it years ago from the original owner. Social/Sharing |

I have to say, seeing this puts a smile on my face. I think McDaniel did about a dozen covers during his run and this is the only other one I've seen besides my own. Where the heck are all the other ones? Anyway, congrats on even finding one. Super cool and super fun cover.

'90s DP cover, baby, let's go! Classic many y mano vs shot, and I dig that overlay...nice bonus along with the OA. Sweet piece, man, and a timely post - congrats!

This cover mercs in more ways than one! The right time period when the character personality and artwork all came together making Deadpool stand out amongst the many characters in the mutant family. Everyone hates Francis after the first movie. If this was to be flipped in 2016, I could see a lot of potential. Anyone know how to reach the TVA?

Nice, great looking figures, especially Deadpool! Credit where it's due, even over a quarter of a century ago, Livesay's inks are really good and have held up really well on this piece. Congrats on succeeding with your 2nd chance!
