Withnail & I might be a top 3 all-time movie for me. Top ten at worst. When I commissioned Dimitris to do this I sent a few reference photos unsure if he was familiar with the film. None of the reference photos had the infamous bull. I regularly give artists a few choices when I commission a piece and I frequently include Withnail & I on that list and also frequently say “something with the bull.” I didn’t say that this time and Dimitris still managed to choose that scene all on his own and come up with a really cool piece. I can also tell from the details that he knows the film.
