DescriptionI first saw this page when Mike Burkey came on a make an offer show with Bill Cox. I tried to make a deal for it then and there, but nothing came of it…. I went to SDCC and asked Mike if he had the piece, he said yes so I made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. I am a HUGE John Byrne fan and although Joe Sinnott’s inks are not the greatest compliment on the whole of the page, the Captain America is pure Byrne. The content is fantastic, and I love the interaction between the avengers team and the fantastic four as well as a great scroll villain in the bottom panel! The page is also over sized (around 13x20) so in this larger format the characters really jump off the page!Social/Sharing |

No doubt it's Byrne when you see it! So many heroes...I particularly like that full FF team shot in panel 2. Also fun stuff to have Reed stretching to shake Cap's hand, essentially stretching the panel! Then you got a Skrull and some nice looking tech. Top to bottom goodness, Jeff, big congrats!

It's a beautiful page with an Avengers panel, an FF panel, then a pact is made right before their mission is set in motion. All the faces are great with the standouts Hercules, Cap, Reed, and She-Hulk having the special touch and care!

This page checks a lot of boxes with Cap and the FF, love the top two panels. Congrats.

I think there's an identical page with Kyle Baker inks from the other annual it crossed over with, no?

Big John didn't much like Joe on his pencils. Made Big John's art look too normal, I guess. Of course, Big John didn't much like Ordway either, and a whole bunch of other inkers. But, in my opinion, Joe made Byrne look much better than any other inker did. Anyway, congrats on owning this beautiful Sinnott masterwork !

Same. I know it has the Joe Sinnott faces and influence on the page but I feel it complements Byrne very well. I love this page!
