Bart Sears and Mark Pennington

Amazing art of Blade from the inside back cover of this book by Bart Sears. Can you image, today, if all the variant covers also had variant inside back covers? Anyway, this is my favorite rendition of Blade. The printed image with the text and lightening of the background lost quite a bit of the depth, I feel. This image in pen and ink is really striking. Thanks for creating this Bart and Mark!

That's a great bonus image that will stick in people's minds as this was a very 90's thing to do a freeze frame of! Hyper detailed with Sears' as the master of anatomy! Pennington knew just how to handle it to make Blade stand out over that view of high rises and making everything look laser focused.
