Description

Durante más de 10 años tuve el privilegio de ser colaborador en la revista de Rafael López Espí FANS FUN MAGAZINE, exclusiva para los socios de su club de fans.
Durante esa etapa, entre otras funciones, ejercí de guionista en la sección de humor de dicha publicación, escribiendo gags que parodiaban a los superhéroes de Marvel y DC.
En todo ese tiempo trabajé con multitud de dibujantes y sus diferentes estilos que materializaron mis ideas y, entre todos ellos, uno destacó por su impoluta y profesional labor gráfica.
Bajo el seudónimo de THIEFAR se esconde uno de los grandes coleccionistas de originales relacionados con SPIDER-MAN y, por si fuera poco, ser coautor junto a Franscesc Martínez de la monumental cuadrilogía de libros "PETER PARKER, SPIDERMAN. CRONOLOGÍA ARÁCNIDA".
Pues bien, fruto de nuestra colaboración en la revista nació este gag (entre otros muchos), homenaje al maestro López Espí al que, por cierto, le gustó tanto que por primera vez en la historia nos cedió la portada de su publicación, en lugar de sus habituales y magistrales ilustraciones.
No quiero olvidar al colorista Javier Mena, que con su extraordinaria participación hizo que nuestro trabajo resaltara hasta una calidad profesional.

Very nice tribute to Espi! It's easy to see why he'd be so important to the Spanish Marvel fans with how much influence he had in those high end painted covers to elevate the colorful characters!

You're absolutely right, Marcus.
Marvel's current success in Spain would not be the same without the work of the maestro López Espí.
