DescriptionWritten in Ennis' signature irreverent style, the series' purpose to punish reckless Super Heroes is expressed through graphic sex, violence, and foul language. It is a dirty, harsh and angry series that offers an alternative to the dominant styles. In a cynical and corrupt world, superheroes are portrayed as arrogant celebrities while the true heroes are those who refuse to allow the world to be ruled by the Seven (parody of the Justice League). The Boys is a bone-crushing opus and masterful cult classic that introduces a new breed of hero who needs no help or getting their hands dirty--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This page was exhibited at the Garth Ennis exhibition held in Lucca during Lucca Comics & Games 2023. They deconstructed the superhero genre at the right time with the Boys! Ennis pushes limits and Braun has such a great animation style to the facial expressions.
