Description

When most people think of PREACHER they recall the horrific covers by Glenn Fabry. They remember Garth Ennis & Steve Dillon pushing the envelope on religion, the over-the-top gore, and many of the other shocking story elements put out there to get a reaction.
But one of the story elements often overlooked is that at its core, PREACHER is a love story.

ABOUT A GUY AND A GIRL WHO FELL IN LOVE AND SET THE WORLD ON FIRE

There are many love stories within PREACHER, but this is the one that ignited all those others.

I've loved Dave Johnson's depiction of that first meeting since I saw it in the final issue of PREACHER back in 2000. While the quests of Jesse, Tulip, Cassidy and the others were coming to an end, mine was just beginning.
A few weeks ago I was finally able to locate this pin up and even luckier to secure a deal. After 24 years my quest has also come to end(for this one piece).
I hope to enjoy it in person for at least as long as the quest took me.

Legendary last issue and the gallery had a who's who of talent! Dave Johnson's pin up takes us all the way back to the early issues at the genesis of Preacher! Does he use textured paper here for this stippling effect?

The paper is a little textured, but I'm not completely sure if that's what is causing the effect if the sky or on her wings.
