DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!14-7/8x22" artboard has original art by Alex Toth (1928-2006), best known for his use of shadow in comics as well as for designing a number of Hanna-Barbera characters throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Offered here is the original art for page 15 of Adventures Into Darkness #5, published by Standard Comics in Aug. 1952. Art was inked by Mike Peppe (1921-1982). Six panel page is from "The Phantom Hounds Of Castle Eyne" single-page story and shows telling of shadowy Phantom Hounds and the ill-fate befalling those who see them. Top margin has inkstamped "Standard" name as well as grease pencil page number. Penciled title abbreviation at bottom right margin w/scattered ink/pencil editorial notations in margins. Two hole punches at center left. Art remains clean and Exc. Social/Sharing |
