11.5x14.25" artboard has pen and ink w/inkwash original art for The MAD Jock Book, published in 1983. Art is by MAD legend Jack Davis (1924-2016) and is two-page spread for "Shakespeare On Jocks" section of the book, showing two sport-related panels, on page 126 entitled "Carrying Off The Injured" w/a player for the Chargers on a stretcher and single panel on page 127 "Celebrating The Victory" w/apparent NY Jets players and team owner. Each strip has pasted title and word balloons that feature oddly apropos Shakespeare quotes. All pasted stats have evenly aged. Davis has signed at bottom of each page in black felt tip pen. Art remains clean and Exc. Great example of classic Jack Davis MAD original art.
