DescriptionAlways liked Medusa and the Inhumans - another great Kirby creation. This issue (MSH 15) with its yellow cover always caught my eye and Colan has become one of my favored pencillers over time. Coletta is, of course, an infamous inker but he didn't cut corners when drawing female figures! When this popped up on one of Bill's Wednesday dealer drop shows, I was more than intrigued and picked it up from Anthony at SDCC '24. This page sets up the 25-page story well and features Medusa in all 4 panels. I love the landscape panel and the Colan "Big Eye" closing out the page. Expect to be adding more to this gallery... Coletta always applies the right linewidth around Medusa's curves and lush brushes to tease out her eye lashes like a cosmotologist! For 1968, this was the fashion model look of the times! All she needed was a miniskirt and high thigh boots.

Although Gene was not a Vince fan, I think Vince's inking on this page was great. A beautiful page !

This original art for this issue is so nice, with all the notes in the margins and exceptionally nice inks from Coletta. Big congrats on a superior page Mark!

Fantastic page Mark! I remember this from a Dueling Dealers' episode and was surprised someone didn't snatch it up then. Well, I'm really happy that it wound up in your amazing collection!

One of the nicest pages from a book that stoked a lot of 12 year old imaginations (cough)

Beautiful Colan page! This should have been more than a one-shot issue...

I always loved Frightful Four stories. Colan's sultry rendition of Medusa is perfect, and the viewing angles are superb. Seeing Sandman and the Wizard, with his sinister plotting, in the background just makes this a classic Marvel page. Congrats!
