Description

One of the featured guests at Heroes Comic Con in Brussels this October was DC Comics legend Tom Grummett.

I've had the luck of having met Tom and his wife last year in San Francisco. He did a gorgeous Peter Parker commission and that - combined with his VERY fair rates - drew me in for another piece.

This time, I had to go with Robin. When I asked for Tim Drake, he jokingly said "He's the only one for me". At the end of the show, he delivered this 11x17 pencil commission of Tim in a dynamic running pose.

A fun piece at a very fun price! The great conversation and jokes were free.

Nostalgic as Grummett's Robin #1 brought a lot of popularity to the character in 1993 with a fresh new teenager coming to age story for the times. This looks as cool as anything from that first issue.

And recently DC Comics has released that entire run and its minis in a very affordable compendium format. Best timing to dip into those stories again!
