DescriptionAbsolutely delighted to pick this up!It’s a reunion of the X-Force team from the Krakoan era drawn by the Hellions artist from the same period who is now himself the cover artist on X-Force following the post-Krakoa reboot. As well as X-Men, Marauders, Excalibur, New Mutants, X-Force, Wolverine, etc, the comic books released after House of X and Powers of X also included Stephen Segovia’s incredible run on Hellions which for me was one of the stand-out comic books from the Hickman / Krakoan era, achieving that rare thing of consistently very good issues throughout the run. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time back in 2020 – scrolling through the New Art posted here on CAF! – when I was able to pick up Stephen’s awesome cover for Hellions #1 from Kirk, his rep – see my Dawn of X gallery. Fast forward 4 years and after swapping a few messages with Stephen about this new piece and its availability, a deal was done and Kirk was great as always. Thanks again! Solicitation: THE FIGHT FOR KRAKOA HAS BEEN LOST! Ten years ago, the mutants returned from their exile to try and reclaim the Earth from the forces of Orchis. They failed. Now, within the victorious Orchis with their gauntlet choking the world, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel put their plan within a plan into action. They are to summon their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands between them is the X-Men. What can they do? They're the X-Men. They'll find a way. That's their power. So begins a story beyond time and space, with the rise of powers beyond our petty human intelligence. From writer Kieron Gillen (IMMORTAL X-MEN, UNCANNY X-MEN) and artist R.B.
