Even with minimal to no background Miller and Rubinstein created a page that you can't look away from. Thank you for posting. My eyes have been pleasured.

Ground breaking issue that defined the Wolverine for all time. Finally, his character was fully explored.

I think I read somewhere – not sure if it is true or not – that the Wolverine mini-series was created “Marvel-style” which meant Claremont provided Miller initially with just the plot from which to draw the artwork and when completed this would go back to the writer to do the script: captions and dialogue. Miller left large expanses of blank space thinking that Claremont would fill it with his customary dense prose, but instead Claremont pared his writing down which accounts for the white space in the mini-series. This kicked off the “white space” aesthetic when the norm up to that point had been to fill every square inch of the comics page. The new aesthetic bled into the ongoing Daredevil title most notably in the cover to 187. That is one classic page and Joe Rubinstein was Miller’s second-best inker (just behind Janson, of course). Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to what else you have lined up for us.

It's a fantastic example from a mini-series that did not disappoint.
