Description10-2024...For my 100th(!) upload, excited to add an Alex Ross piece. This piece is awesome as you get the Fantastic Four's origin in one single drawing with great detail. From a description of a lithograph of the piece...Alex Ross brilliantly juxtaposes the past and the present, showing Marvel's First Family both in the moment of their creation and at the height of their power. In the foreground, four brave scientists look to the sky as cosmic radiation showers down around them. In the background, the Thing clenches his rocky fist, the Human Torch rockets forward, the Invisible Woman readies her forcefields, and Mr. Fantastic stretches towards new heights. Originally created as a "Ross 75th Anniversary Variant Cover" for Fantastic Four #1 (2014), written by James Robinson for Marvel Comics, this was instead used as a cover for Marvel 75 Year Celebration (comic framed below). That's a jam packed cover design! Very ambitious by Ross to be so concise with the origin! The layout is brilliant and the detailed shading is strong!

I love Ross prelims and seeing his process unfold. Great arrangement of the four pre & post accident, it's really cool. The Thing's pose kinda reminds me of FF#1 too, if he were that green guy at least. Congrats!
