DescriptionWhen Darrick Robertson was announced as a guest at (Belgian) Heroes con 2024, lots of people cringed at the facts that the policy would be two free signatures and any other would have to be paid for. We all assumed that this was done to mitigate the lines due to the success of the Boys. He turned out quickly that he would have none of that and would sign anything and everything for free (at least, he told me it was his policy whenever he was in Europe).Reassured by that, I basically brought all my hardcovers, absolute and deluxe editions for him to sign since he has collaborated with so many great writers on so many great series. Upon seeing the pile, he told me he would “only” draw two free remarks (of my choice) in those. He ended up drawing 3 including 2 doodles. Transmet with Ellis and Robertson is probably one of the best true journalistic/political series to this day, so a Spider-Jerusalem was an obvious choice. It was done inside the first absolute edition. Inside volumes 2 & 3, he threw in his famous 3 eyed smiley on top of his signature (that you can see below). Another very generous and accommodating artist, going miles to please his fans. (He told me a fun fact regarding a page of his New Warriors run I own. More on that under the description of said page in this very gallery). This is doodle week part 4. Social/Sharing |

Okay, it's definitely a cool little freebie. But my biggest takeaway is: Spider-Jerusalem is the name of the main character from the Transmetropolitan comic series?!?

Yes. Warren Ellis Helix imprint book from the late 90's to the 00's before Robertson went on to create the Boys.
